Welcome to the Downers Grove Bicycle Club. We are an organization formed in 2006 to promote bicycling as a social and safe activity in Chicago’s western suburbs. Whether you are a beginner, an experienced bicyclist, or somewhere in between, we invite you to join us. The club holds meetings in the Highlander Room at Ballydoyle Pub, 5157 Main Street, at 7:30 p.m. on the second Tuesday, March through November. For more information about the Ballydoyle Pub, click here. The club has rides of various riding levels scheduled each week to accommodate club members. We welcome all riders. All non-members will be asked to sign a waiver before participating on a ride. The Downers Grove Bicycle Club believes in safety so helmets are required on all club rides. The Downers Grove Bicycle Club is an all-volunteer organization which began so area bicycling enthusiasts could share the pleasure and the joy of bicycling. For a small membership fee, members receive voting privileges and the opportunity to participate in a few "members only" activities. |
